Subject: One cursed cart (Kripp, Eliet, Gornul, Joran)

ith visible relief, the man almost jumps at the offer of help.
"Thank you! Thank you!", he keeps repeating, "I've been stuck here for hours now. I was beginning to wonder if anyone ever came by here at all!"
He hits the donkey's hind with a flat hand and the donkey lets out a stubborn cry and doesn't budge.
"And this stupid animal won't move a muscle but further into the ditch of course."
"Don't worry," Joran says, rubbing the back of his head while looking angrily at Kriarc, "we'll help you out."
The three elves and the human each take a corner of the cart and the cart driver pushes at the back of the cart. After a few minutes of frantic pushing and shoving in which again the donkey proves to be more of a nuisance than a help, the cart is moved onto the road again, somewhat mud soiled.
"Thanks ever so much!" the man exclaims as he mounts the trade cart again and takes the reigns in his hands. "Is there anything I can do for you peo-"
His words are interrupted by a loud cracking noise, followed by the small cart smacking onto the ground.
The man looks around bewildered.
"What was THAT?" he stammers, looking up at the balking donkey. He moans as the realization sinks in that his cart just sank through it's axle, which was what produced the cracking noise.
"Why me?" he whimpers softly as he gets off the wagon once more and looks at the wrecked cart.
