children in need is the worst. and so are half the cancer charities cause they do unnecessary testing on animals. and a lot of charities spend the majority of their money on paying 'volunteers'. so i hate pretty much all charities.
but iraq... i dont have anything new to say, but these are just my main thoughts on the whole thing.
i think it proves that america runs the UN and if anything comes from this incident it should be reforms in the UN constitution (does it have one?) to distrubute the power equally amoung all 5 permanent members of the security council, cause at the moment as soon as Saddam breaks any part of the resolution, Bush is free to go to war and the UN is powerless to stop it.
who is more dangerous here, saddam or bush? me thinks bush.
another thing, how can we assume that all weapons will be declared? we dont know how many he has got, or where he is keeping them. sure the weapons inspectors will check out all the military bases, but i dont think thats enough to be sure. bush will probably use that as an excuse to send in american troops, and wont that be fun.
in response to joe's post, i think the majority of iraqies are innocent in this, saddam is a dicator, as in the people of iraq do not have freedom of choice, they are powerless to oppose him, and so i do believe that it requires an outside force to get him out. there is no easy way out though, the UN has been trying for years, but in hindsight we can see that the sanctions didnt work as saddam doesnt care if his people go hungry - and he's been willing to forgo over $150billion since the sanctions were imposed in 1991.
i dont think this is about to end.
