Verloren hoop brak mijn hart,
Verwachtingen wegleggen diepe smart.
Geen mens komt er nog nieuw bij me in.
Leven tussen mensen heeft geen zin.

Laat me alleen met die ene die ik vertrouw,
alsof ik nog ooit naar iemand anders luisteren zou.

Als dat isolatie betekent, dan moet dat maar zijn,
leven met mensen doet echt teveel pijn.

Laat me alleen in een wereld van mij,
al is die onwerkelijk, die maakt me wel blij.
