Ik kan jou zien staan
huilend en bibberend
stuk, koud en onder het bloed
Wanhopig klop je aan op een plek
waar je heil zou moeten vinden
Ze kijken wel naar je
maar ze zien jou niet staan
Ik hoor mijn hart breken
als ze je wegsturen
De deur voorgoed dicht
Afgewezen in je diepste nood
doet de deur van je hart
ook voorgoed dicht in pijn
Afgewezen in naam van God
De ergste misleiding
en een diep verdriet
voor jou, en daarmee ook voor mij
Is niet Zijn diepste wens
dat wij elkaar liefhebben,
zoals Hij ons liefheeft?
Hoe blijft dan de liefde Gods
in hem die zijn hart
- en de deur - toesluit
als hij een broeder of zuster
zo erg gebrek ziet lijden?
God is Liefde
en wie tot Hem komt
zal Hij geenszins uitwerpen.
Wie tot Hem komt,
wie bij Hem aanklopt,
zal Hij nooit wegsturen,
nooit afwijzen,
maar in Liefde aannemen
helend en omarmend
Mag Hij met Zijn Liefde
jouw hart weer verwarmen?
