Human nature is funny, too, because
>the pretzels were three times the cost of the bagels,
>and we didn't have them very often, but could I
>convince people that the salt bagels were the same
>thing? No way!

during the coffee shortage, around 1975 or so... my best friend gave away cookies and coffee during intermission at the high school play... each night she threw out a full club sized pot of coffee completely untouched. no one wanted it for free. so she put up a sign saying due to the coffee shortage, we are asking for 5 cents donation per cup

guessed already? they drank it all and ate the cookies
people are so funny.
