Subject: Horse 'Bowing' Neck

Hello all--
My horse is a palomino Paint who is a talented jumper and all around awesome horse. However, her previous career as a barrel racer has led her to bring her neck in until it touches her neck to avoid the bit. I use a rubber-coated eggbutt snaffle, checked her teeth, she's perfectly healthy. She won't let her head drop unless I force it by bringing down my reins but I hate to do that. Instead of flexing at the poll she flexes through her neck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. She looks horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(
