Subject: Upset filly

I purchased a filly this past Feb. She boarded with the ranch on which she was born up until this past weekend when we had her delivered to our farm. During the months she was boarding my husband and I did ground work with her every weekend. She knows us quite well. Here's the problem; she lived in a very large pasture with 3 other fillys her same age. The pasture at our farm is large, but not nearly as big, and we have no other horses. The first day she arrived she was fine - the sweet, lovable horse we've always known. However, on the second day and ever since (today's day 4) she's been extremely ornary, won't let any of us near her, has tried to jump up on the gate and nearly hurt herself. We've stalled her for a number of hours at a time, then we turn her out to let her run. We've had to leave her in the stall when we're not there, although we'd prefer she had free run of her pasture. When we turn her out she's fine at first but very quickly gets mad, starts pacing along the fence, tries to jump up, and still won't let us get near her. I know she misses her herd and is homesick. What can we do to make her feel better? I'm worried she's just miserable and lonely, but she seems to refuse to be comforted and cared for. Help!
