I once rescued an arab mare who was about the same age as your TB, who was in the same condition; skin, bones, and in addition, she had almost no hair. At vet's direction, we had her on a blend of senior horse feed, and rice bran. this mixture is easy on the digestive system, and the rice bran acts as a glue that keeps the needed vitamins/minerals/etc. in the system, rather than being pushed out of the body as waste. (i believe we also had her on a supplement.. im not 100% sure, but i believe it was a cholestrum suplt. to keep her bnes strong, and whatnot.) My strong personal opinion, however is to ask a vetranarian, as no matter what anybody else has done or tried, every horse is different, and one can never be too sure.

best of luck!!

B.B.
