Subject: Constipation - PLEASE HELP

Has anybody had problems with constipation that they have cured. I have a 7 year old New Forest gelding who has suffered intermittently from constipation since he was 8 months old. My vets are baffled - feed 4 times a day, twice a day, starve, change bedding to rubber instead of shavings, work, keep stabled !!! None of this has worked. Can anybody help - I am getting desperate. At the moment he is being fed high fibre cubes twice a day and nothing else. I don't think this is the solution as horses are trickle feeders. Please has anyone got any ideas????
