Subject: my mare needs to gain weight!

I recently moved my 22 year old retired AQHA mare to be with me in Chicago after being separated from her for years. She needed to gain alot of weight and the vet recommended greatly increasing her Equine senior feed (10 lbs a day), adding 2 cups of corn oil, and supplementing with beet pulp. Well, a month later and she looks so much better. Other than the weight issue she's in great health and is still an amazing horse to ride... I'd like her to gain some more weight going into winter though...However, she won't eat the beet pulp...and i don't think she likes the corn oil. And, she's not finishing her grain (she has 24 hour access to pasture/hay ..I'm thinking about adding a weight gain supplement to her feed and cutting down on the amount of grain...Has anyone tried Focus WT or anything like that?
