Subject: seeking advice on seperation anxiety

Hello list
I bought a mare 3 months ago and am at my wits end and ready to sell her. She is very nervy when she's alone. She shares a paddock with another horse, they are best buddies but I have nobody to ride with and go out on my own. She is very nervy when ridden. The other day I was leading her accross a little gully because she was scared to cross it and she leapt accross, landed on top of me, fell and thrashed around trying to find her feet with me pinned under her. I feel lucky that I didn't break any bones (my helmet has a dent and I'm full of bruises and scratches). When I work with her in the round yard/pen she is very respectful, she is a submissive mare, not an in your face type of horse, but prone to panicking and not "thinking" which is what happened when she jumped on me. I really would like to keep her but don't want to end up badly hurt - have you guys any recommendations - training video's or something like that so she can overcome this seperation anxiety and learn to calm down and put more trust in me.
Sorry this is so long.
Thanks in advance
Dianne
