Subject: mean horse

i have this horse that was recently in a bad situation he is a great horse to ride acting up some times but when i go to the barn to pet him he bites and is mean ive even been kicked by him before. the thing is that when he was in the bad situation he acted better i could go to the yard and pet him what has happened? it he too spoiled?he is a beautiful white belgian draft, apoloosa and paint. His beauty makes him worth the effort.
