Subject: Funny skit=win??

{Sitting in the corporate offices of the UWF, is Ghost Dancer, getting ready to be interviewed via their Internet show, “UWF LiveWire.” The two hosts, Jim Shaw and Mark Moore, and they are talking about the upcoming card at Massacre. One of the matches that they are currently talking about is the match between Jo Lallo and Ghost Dancer.}

Jim Shaw: One of the matches in the Tournament for the Ultimate Heavyweight title is Jo Lallo and Ghost Dancer. Sitting next to me is one of the combatants for this match…Ghost Dancer. Ghost Dancer, have you seen Jo Lallo’s latest promo segment about the match?

Ghost Dancer: Yes I have had the pleasure to watch it. If winning matches counted on comedy acts, then Jo Lallo would be the Ultimate Heavyweight Champion right now and probably forever.

Mark Moore: Then I take it that you find the promo…offensive or degrading?

Ghost Dancer: Actually, I like it; it is some of the funniest stuff that I have seen in wrestling, funnier than anything that the Rock and Mankind could come up with. My favorite part was the time machine bit; I did get a big kick out of it.

Mark Moore: Then why don’t you come out with some funny promos and skits? Don’t you think that it would get you over more or make more of an impression with the bookers and the fans?

Ghost Dancer: One of the reasons why I did not enter the other big promotion was that I did not like the title, “Sports Entertainment.” Comedy skits like what Jo Lallo and others in the UWF produce. I focus on the SPORTS aspect of this side. I could go out, get some writers, like Jo Lallo has done, produce a funny skit…but deep down inside, that is not me.

Jim Shaw: But Lallo did like when you complemented him by calling him a big man.

Ghost Dancer; What else are you going to call a guy who is almost seven feet tall and about four hundred and fifty pounds…a short cruiserweight? I can’t help but to speak the truth. I will not give any false illusions that I will be able to overpower Lallo, because I probably will not. All that I can do is outwit him, which I believe that I can.

Jim Shaw: I have to ask you, what about the “hit him in the knee” part. God, did I love that when Lallo ask Burrito to hit him in the knee, to play out the scene.

Ghost Dancer: Lallo cloaks his insecurities in his humor, which is fine. What I presented was just a scenario of what might happen, of what I might focus on. It was just a little look into my game plan. But if Lallo were a true professional, he would realize just what his opponents would go after when they are facing him. You try to take the big men off their feet, get them down to the mat, because that is where they are the most vulnerable.
Jim Shaw: (Sings “lets do the time warp again in the background.)

Mark Moore: Come on Ghost Dancer, his time warp bit with the two Lallos was priceless.

Ghost Dancer: (sighs in disgust.) As I have stated before, that is what separates ME from the rest of the wrestlers in the UWF. I am no-nonsense, in your face, true professional. While Lallo hides himself in funny skits, and one-liners. But Mark and Jim, no match as ever been one by a funny skit or even a promo. What wins matches is dedication to yourself and this sport. Yeah, I keep on calling this a sport, which in my heart, it is. I did not get into this sport for the money or the women, or even the fame. I got into this sport to prove myself to my people and to the world that I am not just another Native American from a Reservation that I am one of the top FIGHTERS that this sport has ever seen. It is my no-nonsense approach to my matches that has me with two marks in the win column. Can Lallo boast the same…I don’t think so. Let him have his skits, let him have Burrito jump off the toilet and strike him in the leg; I could care less of what kind of promos that he puts out. The only thing that really matters is who wants it more. All you have to do is look at our intensity too see who really wants it. And Lallo, all that he wants is to be thought of as another “sports entertainer.” If I was Lallo, I would get into contact with the other promotion, they could always use another sidetrack distraction.

Jim Shaw: (sings “Time keeps on ticking, ticking…into the future.”)

Mark Moore: But Lallo does have a point to how can you comment about a match that has not happened.

Ghost Dancer: Hold on there Moore, commenting on the match before you had it…IS WRESTLING. It is the part that WE play to hype up the match, to get the fans interested in us and in the match. I don’t know who trained Lallo for this sport, but if I were him, I would try to get my money back. When I was in training to become a wrestler, it was my mentor who told me that when you cut a promo, talk about the match, get intense, get into it, try to figure out just what your opponent will say and counter him on it. This sport is almost as much as ring psychology as it is actual physical contact. And to this day, those words still hold true. That is the separation that I keep talking about; from myself and the rest of the roster here in the UWF. That is why you don’t see me do that silly “war dance” that some of the fake Indians have done in the past. I honor my heritage, not downplay it. We are proud people with a long heritage; I will not lessen it by lowering myself to someone else’s standards.

Jim Shaw: Don’t you think that Jo Lallo does have you kind of thrown off your game plan?

Ghost Dancer: That is what Jo Lallo tried to do, try to get me off my game plan, but it did not work. That kind of tactic might have worked on other opponents in the past with success. They might have fallen prey to it, but I certainly did not. The proof will come on Thursday, when we are in the ring together. Then all the war of words will be history, all that really matters is who has the most desire to win. I know that I keep on going on and on about desire. But it is what athletes use to keep going when there is an obstacle in their way. And I view Lallo as another obstacle, a big obstacle, but an obstacle never less.

Jim Shaw: I take it that you won’t be discussing just what you will be doing to Jo Lallo tomorrow?

(Giggling can be heard in the background.)

Ghost Dancer: Actually I will because I know how much Jo Lallo loves for me to talk about the future. (Starts to chant) I see Lallo in the ring, not serious at all, thinking about the next skit to do…then I see Ghost Dancer, with fire in his eyes and a burning desire in his heart. I see a titanic struggle between these two combatants, but I do see the giant fall to the earth…for a second time. I see the spirit of a nation over Ghost Dancer, just another victim for the Warpath.
Is there any wonder why I was named wrestler of the week for the UWF, not because I am some flash in the pan or some “entertainer.” It is because I give the people what they want and that is REAL ACTION. Blaze found that out and Reid found that out. That I come at you with both barrels firing from the start. I keep working on you, probing for a weakness that I can exploit. If it is fortune telling, then I have been doing it successfully for years now! That is why I am a proven winner, I know what my strengths, weaknesses, and limitations are.

Mark Moore: I would like to thank Ghost Dancer for being here with us tonight. Our next guest is also on Massacre…
