La situation était critique. (Rappelons-nous que Sam s'en allait à Hamstertown pour prévenir Fifon, le chef des hamsters gais, que le kidnappeur de la lune s'en prendrait à lui.) Il était évidemment trop tard. Le kidnappeur avait frappé et Fifon restait introuvable. Plusieurs hamsters s'étaient répandus sur les contrées voisines où ils avaient été bouffés par les castors volants. Il fallait retrouver Fifon à tout prix car la population de hamsters serait anéantie. Edgar eu alors une idée. Il était écrivain et possédait le pouvoir de réécrire l'histoire. Il ne lui suffisait que d'écrire avec sa plume d'or pour que cela se produise. Il écrivit alors: "Fifon se trouve immédiatement ici-même à mes côtés." Ce qui se produisit alors fût inimaginable...
