as a piece of my heart breaks off.
You look into my eyes lovingly.
You tell me I'm beautiful.
I smile
as another piece of my heart breaks off.
You kiss me like we've never kissed before.
You tell me you always want what we have.
I smile
as a third piece of my heart breaks off.
I call and you don't answer.
I get your voice mail for the thousandth time.
a tear falls
as a fourth piece of me heart breaks off.
I tell you I love you
and I ll always be there for you
as another tear falls
and the pieces of my heart continue to break off.
How many more
before you try to mend them?
