I look outside
as the raindrops pour
and a smile touches my lips.
my mind wonders back
3 years ago
to the days that i so miss.
We walked in the rain,
flirty and happy,
as things between us were so new.
but the rain turned to storms
and visibility grew dim
as the space between us grew.
you stepped closer
and the storm turned to a drizzle
just enough to make me smile.
with glasses off
so i could see you clearly
we stood in the rain and kissed for a little while.
The rain still makes me smile
everytime i look out the window
stuck inside.
it reminds me of happy times
and gives me hope of happiness again.
