jsut a little push
just the one i need
to end the 7 months
of dealing with his greed

not a little push,
but more of a hit
a pounding parting of ways,
hurts a little bit

what i needed was a push
what i got was a shove
a simple sign
would have been enough

but instead i got bruises
on my face to remind me
they will heal
but i should never look behind me

if i do all i'll see
is him drunk and angry
that christmas eve
pinning and pounding me

he makes promises to change
but doesnt understand
after what he's done
he can no longer be my man

my family's outraged
his falily's ashamed
and we all know
the alocohol's to blame

but it gave me the little push
to say it was through,
that it was over,
no more i love you
