Subject: Week 1 recap

An embarrassment is what I’d call Hoosier Daddy’s opening week. In defense of a title, Bartley’s squad went out and completely laid an egg. The loss of Don Driver will not help, but big problems were already looming. With Driver hanging out with his 90 year old bingo partners for the next month, it may be too late for Jay to contend………we should have kept Simon Sez in the league. The Replacements are good……….Tampa Bay’s defense is DaNeck’s second best player behind Randy Moss…..Hot Gravy is going to get pretty heavy for Don McNabb before the year is over. Eddie George looked like an old man Sunday. Former FFFL’er Jeff Engdahl played golf with a Titans player over the summer and asked if he had any “fantasy tips” for the 2003 year. His one tip was not to draft George, as he’d have a horrible year……James Stewart was one of the only bright spots for the Titos. They will challenge the record for least wins in a season this year…..How did the curse of the Buffalo Turds screw up that team. It’s a good team, and should not have started off 0-2…….We all better hope the Burritos don’t bring it together this year, because if you haven’t looked at their holdovers, then don’t……..I guess Koolen’s prediction that Jerry Porter would make us all forget Jerry Rice was not correct. The Gangstas better dust off Terry Glenn…..The Clubbers 130 point performance was a great step in getting by until Vick comes back, but they cannot count on 35 from Jeff Blake each week……nor can the Clubbers count on Marshall Faulk laying an egg each week……Have the Nads really been neutered. That may not be a playoff team yet again for The Judd…..Who is now the backup QB for the Skin Boat?? With the Grocery Boy on the shelf, it falls squarely on Vinny Testesverde to lead the squad. They may suit up Brenda Warner soon…..Chris Chambers warns us that the PoonTangens will win their division easily…..The Old Timers can’t allow Priest Holmes to score ½ their points, and Lil Crumps to get 25% each week…..There should be a rule that a team should not be allowed to score 86 points and win two games. The Gamecocks should be 20 point dogs this week. As one member told me over the weekend, “they are the luckiest team in the history of the league.” I concur……The Modells need to find a replacement for Marcel Shipp, as they are one “Shippy” player from having a contending squad…..
