Subject: Trading inside info

The information below is only being offered up now that the trade deadline has passed:

Here was the offer that I received from the 2-10 owner that knows what he is doing: (and I quote)... "..for your championship run, you might like a QB that doesn't get you 7 points per week. So, how about Peyton Manning for Michael Vick and some change." I wonder if he saw that MV is signed as a Clubber for next to nothing in 2003?? Actually, now that the trading deadline has passed, I see what the Boat is doing. They're saying "piss on 2002" and they're building for next year. Actually, it's a smart move (also why we have a trading deadline). They're only getting players that are signed for 2003. Hey, Bubba at $36 for 3 years, not bad. If he could have gotten MV for 2003, even better move.
Now, as far as the trade between Judd & Crusher goes, yeah, I kind of wondered if Junior caught Gramps at a weak moment. But I do know for a fact that Crusher was hell-bent on getting rid of Brady. He told me so as we had to listen to the "pride of all Nebraska" at halftime of the Texas-NU game. Any of us could have had Brady. Of course, Judd was there to get in on "a good deal". Crusher wanted a trade with DaNeck. He wanted Hines Ward for Tom Brady. Straight up. Now, the fact that Dynek thinks he can win with Tommy Maddox is another story. As we all know, if it's not DaNeck's idea to trade, he's paranoid that he's going to get woodshedded...so it doesn't get done.
I agree...the pile of poop comment is classic, along with the one that states, "I'm 2-10 and know what I'm doing", and most of the others in that bantering. Very good, fellas. That's what the msg board is for. It only took 10 weeks, but good.
