I'm wondering if what you're thinking of are the comets that have come so close to the sun. I recall a few years past, the sun 'flipped', similar to a pole shift. Will be interesting to see what occurs. Here's a site of interest to watch the stars www.spaceweather.com

Also, has anyone been 'watching' the effects of Mars? I'm an Aries, with Mars as my ruler, and have noticed that since it began its trek, I have been unable to make big decisions. And the decisions I do make have 'bad' endings. :-(
