Subject: What Once Went Wrong...no joke...

Hello, everyone.

Okay, so I'm Erik, and I wrote the first several chapters of a fanfic called "What Once Went Wrong"....a long, long time ago. Well, perhaps I was too flippant about using that title, because soon after posting the revised versions of the chapters I'd written (which will need to be revised AGAIN, I saw after re-reading them)...my life went wrong.

The details are unimportant, but suffice it to say that when you are trying to find money to eat and keep a roof over your head, a fanfic is pretty irrelevant stuff. Fortunately, this website remained, as did my fanfic.

And occasionally I would get emails from people saying "PLEASE OH GOD PLEASE FINISH IT!" To all of you who read the story as it stands and emailed me to complete it, my thanks. It was very nice to hear, every time, and your wish is finally granted. While I am not yet out of the hole my life dug, I DO intend to finish the fanfic within the next month. It seems appropriate now, with the chance that QL might actually reappear and with Scott finally having a new show that showcases how damn talented he is.

Because the entire reason FOR my fanfic was because I hated, HATED WITH A PASSION, the end of QL. So I decided to fix it. To put right what once went wrong. And now that there may actually be the potential for a REAL salvation of the end of QL, I want my version finished and out there before-hand.

Especially as I'm going to do my damnedest to be on the set or helping to write the new QL if it happens. After all, I went to USC and got an MFA in Film/Video Production BECAUSE of my desire to create shows like QL. BECAUSE of that show, I am in Hollywood today. And if the show comes back, I want to be there and part of it.

So my fanfic will be completed soon. It seems like a necessary part of my life again, and who knows--maybe in a small way, it might help the fates be kind in getting me involved with the new QL, should it actually happen. And even if it doesn't, at least _I_ will help us all have a better, stronger ending to the QL story.

Or (and here's my teaser) at least....a better ending to this CHAPTER of QL history...

Watch for the revised chapters and new additions real, real soon.
