Subject: A Question (& PLEASE, NO SPOILERS!!!!!)

Hi everyone, I'm new here!

a totally awesome show, which I barely remember from hardly watching it eleven years ago. It's only just started where I live now, so -

PLEASE DON'T SPOIL IT FOR ME!!! Don't hint at anything more than the well-known, general facts.

One thing I'm curious about though:

suppose Sam, in one of his leaps to the mid- or late- 80's, would contact the people at "Starbright" or whatever they were called back then, and prove to them through, I dunno, some secret knowledge or test that he is indeed Sam inside a "leapee", and not a crazy person.

A. Will he, and even CAN he, meet his "younger self", at that time heading the project? In the pilot we watched him talk with his dad on the phone while his younger self was near the father, but can he actually come face to face with himself?

B. Will the people at the project (and younger Sam) even believe that it's him? I gathered that the part about leaping into OTHER PEOPLE to the past was an unexpected surprise for the project. They seem to have thought Sam would actually go back in time as himself. Or am I wrong?

C. And my main question: If they DO finally believe him (which hardly seems likely) - could it, and WOULD it guarantee that the project's FUNDING IS NOT STOPPED IN 1995?

Which would create the usual terrible paradox, for without the funding cut, Sam wouldn't be driven into despair enough to hop into the accelerator prematurely -

Which would annul all the changes he'd made since the Genesis, and even his presence in Starbright at that moment in the past, since he's never leaped in the first place.

In short, is that all even possible for our poor Sam to attempt? though, seeing how it would just make a mess of the entire show, I can rather see why he'd want to avoid it.

I'd love to have your answers on these pressing matters! :)

Bye!!!
