I am currently in a financial bind due to being off work. I am receiving $660 a month through workers compensation. I was assaulted by 2 students while employed as a high school teacher at a charter school (10/10/07 - Nothing was done to the 2 students that assaulted me or to the principal for failing to abide by educational/criminal state statutes)
I also have filed for SS disability. I have no health insurance and am in need of seeing a specialist. I do have an attorney that has appealed both workers compensation as well as the ss disability.
As a result of the assualt, I am now having chronic physical health problems in addition to the mental health issues from the assault.
I am not able to pay rent and utility bills or my car payment. I am about to loose the car and will probably be evicted if this goes on much longer. My credit is bad so I am not able to get any assistance through banks.
I need to get medical treatment so I can get back to the health condition I was in prior to being assaulted so I can get on with my life.
Any assistance or direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!
