Subject: PPV RP #1 (interview with Jim Ross)

J.R. - Hi folks, I'm here right now with the man that will face Brock Lesnar this Sunday at Heaven Gone Bad in a Hell In A Cell match for the xWo World Heavyweight Title, Bill Goldberg. Now Bill, you came into the xWo a different man from your days in wCw, but now you have seemed to return to that focused, determined competitor you once were. What happened that made you transform back into that person?

Goldberg - Well, I have to steal a little line from Seth Gunner. I was an xWo 'puppet' when I first arrived. It was the front office's idea to have me join the Filthy Animals. I wanted no part of it, but I was talked into it by the 'Powers that be', so to speak. But that was not me, and the fans knew that was not me. I instantly had problems with the Filthy Animals, and it just fell apart. I was really in a tough spot, because I didn't have a direction to head in. That's when I was approached by Paul Heyman. Believe it or not, Paul was the one who suggested that I get back to the basics. Now I'd be a fool to think that Paul is strictly here for my benefit; but so far the partnership has worked, so I have no complaints.

J.R. - Well let's spend a minute on Paul Heyman, if you don't mind. I believe that I speak for the majority of wrestling fans and wrestlers as well when I say that it was a shock to see you align yourself with a man like Paul Heyman. What made you decide to do it?

Goldberg - Paul Heyman may be an ass the majority of the time, but the man knows this business. He knows what it takes to make it to the top. He took Brock Lesnar to the top, though Brock doesn't want to admit it, and I believe that he will do the same for me. That's all there is to it.

J.R. - But the Goldberg of wCw was a superstar all on his own. You didn't need anybody then. Why do you feel like you need someone now?

Goldberg - Let's be honest here, Jim; we all know by now that wCw gave Goldberg a little 'extra push', so to speak. Granted I didn't have a cake walk to the top, but the path was made just a little easier for me. I could have made it to this point on my own, but it may have taken a little longer. You see, everyone in the xWo has their fingers in the cookie jar, meaning that somewhere, somehow, every wrestler has backstage influence on certain issues. Paul Heyman gives me that edge. He provides the stroke that is necessary to insure that I will not be held down. But don't get me wrong, the minute Paul gets outta line, I will no hesitiate to snap that weasel in half!

J.R. - That is fair enough explanation for me. Well let's move on to the matter at hand, your match with Brock Lesnar at Heaven Gone Bad. Brock will be by far your greatest challenge since your arrival here in the xWo. Do you honestly think that you have what it takes, at this point, to beat Brock Lesnar?

Goldberg - What kind of question is that Jim?!? What would make you even ask something like that?!?

J.R. - I was just wondering if yo. . .

-Goldberg cuts him off.-

Goldberg - Look, Brock Lesnar is the top guy in the xWo. He has done his time, and paid his dues. He scratched and clawed his way to the top, and he has the World Title to prove that. But Brock Lesnar has NEVER faced a man like Goldberg! Brock Lesnar has yet to face a man with the intensity, the desire, the passion that I have. -Looks right into the camera.- If you think that you will just run over me Lesnar, you will be walking out of that arena without the title! J.R., I have gone to hell and back to get this shot. I have destroyed every opponent in my way since getting this shot. There is no one on the face of this earth that will stop me from becomming the xWo champ! Once we step into that cage, and the door is locked, there will be no Thrillers to help Brock Lesnar. There will be no Sid Vicious to get him DQ'ed. When that bell rings, and the match is over, one of us will be standing as the champ. The other one will be lying in a bloody mess on that mat. And I'm gonna do all that I can to insure that I am the one standing. I only have one thing left to say to Brock Lesnar. . .
YOUR ASS IS NEXT!!!

J.R. - Well Bill thank you and best of luck in your match this Sunday.

Goldberg - Thank you, J.R.

J.R. - Folks you don't wanna miss this one. Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar for the xWo World Heavyweight Title! This Sunday at Heaven Gone Bad, it's guaranteed to be a slobberknocker!
