Eric Bana is a bad mother-fucker. A good guy who gets pissed off while watching TV with no detachment and lets his grandman--and only his grandma or grandma figure--push him around.

What a great movie. REVENGE!!!

Like in "The Good Shepherd," I was confronted with a character whose personal resolve was beyond my own. Or at least, we had different roles.

I couldn't do this. I'd need a big reason: why? Something beyond what happened. I'd need to attach it to something larger and that gets dangerous.

I liked the athlete who was free to run into the night...then stops, pivots on the window, PICKS up a knife, stabs an Arab RIGHT THROUGH the forehead and then joins his brothers in death.

That's all I'm good for. But that's still something. Damn right.

But Bana is in this til the end. He wasn't born for this and that's why it works. That's why the whole movie works. These aren't natural born killing machines. This is a fight to the death! Having realized that, a cute old lady gives her vague orders and the men take it from there.

Thank God this was set in Europe and not dirty Arab countries.
