Only the ones she utilizes will have made sure they donated to Hillary’s Campaign. She has recently vowed that her Administration will not stop utilizing private security firms but that they will have stringent oversights. LOL!!! It’s all the same game, merely played differently due to Prince’s background. If Hillary were as principled as the constitutuents plugging their nose next fall while voting for her…she’d simply end the war. Sadly, that is not an option and any debate regarding Blackwater needs to be tied into the overall narrative of why we are fighting this war on Terror in the first place: because we have no choice. Now, that’s a broad statement and the connotations of it are not as clear-cut as the congenital, ingrained response they will initially illicit. We live in a military society and we continuously reap the benefits so long as they suit us. It’s hypocritical to be a consumer while opposing the way in which the fabric of a consuming society operates. Outsourcing the military was a prescient part of the lifestyle we enjoy. Furthermore, both the Dems and the Pubs want war and they want private security firms to fight them in the future. How come I never hear you criticizing Hillary’s campaign contributions nor her husbands—the ones he paid back by outsourcing the military to the private defense firms during his administration? Didn’t Prince get his first government contract under Clinton’s State Department? It’s this blind partisan mode of thinking that finds me defending Erik Prince tonight. He’s simply a victim of partisan politics and the Blacwater buzz is all they’re allowing the rank-and-file on the left to chew on. CHEW ON THIS!!! Support Ron Paul; support Kucinich. And watch them lose to either Hillary or Rudy. So vote for Hillary because she is the lesser of two evils and has addressed your Blackwater concerns. As easy as it is to find biased far Left-Wing articles by zealouts with their own agenda and the sprinkling down diatrabes of Olbermann-listening idiots blogging on the evils of Blackwater, it’s next to impossible to find any defending it. I guess like with Global Warming they’ve already had their minds made up and therefore Blackwater doesn’t deserve equal time. But here’s a quote from another hero very similar to Prince. "Since becoming committee chairman, Mr. Waxman has initiated numerous investigations into the activities of the Bush Administration. That's why next week, the Committee has 'invited' Erik Prince, the founder and CEO of Blackwater USA to testify about their work in Iraq" and asked them to "deliver 'all documents' in the company's possession pertaining to the much-publicized incident on 16 September when a diplomatic convoy being protected by Blackwater allegedly killed Iraqi civilians. Apparently it matters little to Mr. Waxman that the State Department's Regional Security Office in Baghdad has yet to complete its own investigation into the incident. "His [Prince's] integrity is already being impugned by selective 'leaks' to the media. The fact that 30 Blackwater security personnel have been killed protecting American officials -- without losing any of their protectees doesn't seem to matter. Interestingly, Mr. Waxman himself has been the beneficiary of their courage and skill during his\ visit to Iraq. Yet, given the committee's zeal to destroy any and all associated with the Bush Administration, no good deed will go unpunished." That’s Oli North, another man who knows how to get things done, another man who fought when he didn’t have to. We’ve been lied to enough about this war and that’s because deep-down, I believe, we have always preferred that. Well, let’s start telling the truth: we are at war and we need the men of Blackwater over there fighting it. Yes, they are paid well but they are in a combat zone. We have a volunteer Army that’s not coming close to meeting its quota. Do you prefer a draft, sir? A part of me relishes such a prospect because all the feminists out there who have been demanding ornamental civil rights will now see their daughters being drafted into the military. Yeah right. That’s when the dormant Middle-America wakes up. They may be able to defeat the draft but they cannot stop this war. That’s why Blackwater is necessary: so you and Susie don’t have to fight. If Corporate America is as powerful as we both believe it to be and there is no stopping free trade and transnational business how can we expect to impede the growth of private security firms who have every right to protect their interests and property? Face it, we’re still naively nostalgic enough to believe we’re living in a representative democracy. I think that ended in the 50’s: the decade that saw the advent of the all the useful palliatives that continue to blow our minds. Here’s a perfect illustration of the future dissenter, completely blind to the lie he is living. I’ll bet this kid, once he gets to college, will be against the war. Left Wing Zealouts: Right-Wing Zealouts: Just-Plain-Zealouts…like FDR and Captain America as well as Erik Prince and Iron Man. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
