His audience on AM was nil in comparison to Savage or Limbaugh. Or even Hannity, and I'm just betting more people have an AM radio in the car than have cable. In the South.

It's mostly the first two. Some are pussies and some are stupid, but they consider their actions for the good of the WHOLE country, and frankly they have their work cut out for them, fixing all the bullshit the last six years have rained on us. Why Bill Clinton doesn't have Dean's job, I'll never know. If I was a coach that's who I'd put in.

I only saw that after I mentioned the "phony soldiers" thing, but yeah. The soldier in question (and I'm sure many others) didn't take that well.

But that shit isn't up to "The Left" to fix for the masses that eat Rush up like ambrosia. If they did something about it it would be censorship, and one of Rush's only redeeming acts I recall was to stick up for Stern when he was being beaten on for his anti-Bush/scatological/pornographic show. Despite his show only sharing two things in common, Rush still exhibited solidarity for a fellow broadcaster.

There is a group of liberals and and conservatives meeting right now in order to work out a peaceful succession of North and South. At least they're trying.
