Date Posted: 17:39:27 07/18/07 Wed Author Host/IP: ip70-189-79-252.ok.ok.cox.net/70.189.79.252 -We got 2 and half weeks of solid rain in Oklahoma. My normally flood prone apartment became even more flood prone. Mold grew, worms committed suicide, even roaches began to invade. -I spend 2-weeks looking for an apartment my mom sees because I took her along once to spot for me while I was driving around. It's where I now live. -Moving was Hell. I will never move again, and if I do, I'm pulling a Zen mentality and just leaving all my shit behind. -Moving out of the old apartment made me ill. I developed a nasty cough I could not shake for days. It was nearly constant. By the time the next week had rolled around, all the constant coughing blew my hemorrhoids into tennis ball size lumps of spiked hate, like literally someone decided to try and shove a sea urchin up my ass. Emergency room. Lortab and an injectable foam that worked really well when I could actually find my asshole later, and I'm a new man. -My old apartment exploded two days ago. That's not a joke, though I'm sure the roaches are dust. -I love where I live now. It's really a sweet old place. Old wood floors and yellow formica in the kitchen. My stove was made in the 50's. It's a Magic Chef, though the gas burners in that fucking thing are commercial grade. Cook a burger in 30 seconds. It's something my mom called a train flat apartment. Everything is connected off a long hall, and it does remind me a lot of old houses in Lomg Island. Despite the lack of central A/C, or an electrical socket in the bathroom, I am very content. I'm getting used to the heat. There's 100 times more emergency vehicles running down 15th, but it's like some The Shining shit where I lived here before. I knew I was going to live here when I saw it, and I feel very comfortable. -I bought a picture of a rabbit. Mr. B [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
