I've grown really tired of these "such-and-such movie" spoof films. I used to love the spoof genre when I was kid, the stuff by Zucker-Abrams in particular. The genre has gotten really dreary since then. These new films don't even know how to make jokes, all they do is imitate their targets in an exaggerated way. Can you imagine one of the new spoofs containing a line like the "Surely you can't be serious" bit from "Airplane"?

I haven't seen enough of Monty Python yet to decide whether I'm a fan or not. But he's done some great non-Python stuff too. Ever seen "A Fish Called Wanda"?
