Hey Norm,

Lets talk. Honestly. About your last visit here, about Gordo’s ‘environmental’ issues, about the two days I watched him while you were here... About our discussions and your concerns with his issues that had plagued you for some time and I just couldn’t quite understand until I saw it with my own eyes.

I will say this, you have done an amazing job with what you had to work with...I have always publicly said that ALL of Gordo’s shortcomings are a product of my breeding, not your training or efforts. I still and will always wish we had gotten a better dog in your hands, things would be different...But I know what I know, and I knew the pups Sire, and I knew plenty of his half-siblings by many females, and I have a kennel FULL of half siblings in both sexes that have never exhibited the one flaw in his make-up that is his biggest weakness. Gordo IS a fine animal, well trained, good looking, a truly nice specimen...I proudly display his trophy on my wall...but he should never have been bred.

Let’s start with a simple question, the bottom line at my place; Do you think Gordo has the rock solid nerve and the necessary tools to be a full-fledged protection dog, capable of stopping an assailant in real life situations.

One more question, regardless of how you answered the first question, do you think Gordo’s temperament would make it here on my place?

Feel free to elaborate, or just give us the simple answer.

David
