I ride with my APBT and when I was first working with her and my bike I'd just walk and so when she'd get into "bike" territory I'd just run her over...it's easier when you're walking with the bike than riding because you can keep the bike going rather than falling over...the dog learns that the bike isn't going to give when he pushes and so he'll quit pushing. Even when there's a dog on the other side of the bike my girl just keeps an eye through the spokes...she won't try to cross the bike because she's learned it won't tolerate it so to speak.

Also better than falling on the dog, keeps the experience positive.
