Sara, I'm not sure if the rules have changed, but from what I understand it cannot be warmer than 72 degrees F. When a Club agrees to host the event, if they think it is going to be warm, they run the test either early in the morning or in the evening. Even with that, the temp cannot exceed 72 degrees F. Even a long-coated dog in good condition should be able to complete the test in temps less than 72 degrees. Here is what I found on a website that lists the rules for AD:

"By accepting responsibility to host an AD the local club agrees, that during the warm summer months, to hold the event only during the early morning or evening hours. The outside temperature must not exceed 22 degrees Celsius (about 72 degrees Fahrenheit)."
