Do you "practice" this Xray hold at home to prep for going to the vet?

After reading your post about doing Xrays without putting them out, I asked my vet's office if they would do that next time. Their response was that they do not get as good of an Xray.

So my next question is do you often have to retake hip Xrays because the first ones were not good enough?
