That was my point earlier in a simple post I submitted. Why bother attempting to fix problems. There are already dogs that don't exhibit these faults. Get access to them for your program.

I come from a performance dog background. Looks are always an aside in my book.

David your dogs are bred for performance and ability. Using a critical trained eye for what you deem good. If they don't show that ability or level of performance you demand. They are out. (god forbid I use the c word). But with that said a dog you consider low shelf will undoubtadly be considered a foundation dog by someone whose criteria is different than your own. As the dog world turns lol.

a pedigree says what a dog should be
conformation says what a dog appears to be
performance says what a dog really is.....
