For those of us trying to establish our own lines, this is something we can work on ourselves. Even if we never get any good information about our dog's ancestors, at least we can offer future Boerboel enthusiasts and breeders our input on what we have going now.
I'm sure in 20+ years, new generations will be searching out these same questions.
