I am so sorry to hear of your troubles! We are going to get Boomer from the vet today after something very similar (he had abdominal surgery, the initial stitches blew out, too). It is NOT a fun thing to do, and I know how helpless you feel at that point. We were transporting a horse and were still 2 hours away (with icy roads) from an emergency vet hospital. We wrapped him in cotton T-shirts as best we could and kept him immobile, but it still doesn't take the horror out of the reality of the situation. It was horrible.
I'm so glad to hear that she is doing better, the relief after such a rollercoaster ride is great. I can't wait to have our dog back! He still has staples in, but almost three weeks at the vet's off and on has taken its toll on him. He went in at 150 lbs and before his last surgery was at 114 lbs.
Congrats on the healthy litter, and congrats on mama pulling through. We're headed out the door now to get our boy. Here's to getting them on the mend!
How is your girl doing now?
