I understand and agree with you on the honesty thing, but I can say that we have been attacked by a number of people in the past for exactly that...being open and honest. Many people really don't want to know the truth. That said, IMO, that doesn't justify lying.

I have had people come up to me about Preacher-Man and say, "that is an awesome boerboel" or something like that. Some have seen him work and are like, "Damn, nice dog. When you going to breed him, I want a pup." Literally...and I am not making this up.

Then when I tell them he is a Swinford (Bandog) that I bred, these very same people that want Preacher, try to suggest "mixing" dogs with "APBT" and such is unethical. The bandog world and pure breed world both have their share of flakes.

I think some people forget that America is a "relatively" free country. So, IMO, as long as a person is honest about what they do, others should just judge dogs on how they perform. Anyway, that's my thought on it.

The bottom line is there are good and bad examples in every type of breed (and I use the term "breed" loosely here). There are also good and bad people in every "breed."
