Lee, don't you think a bred mainly selected by performance would be a lot healther than one selected on looks? And if you do think that, why did that not happen to the Boerboel?
There's a lot of problems within the breed today and it was even worse before as there are quite a few breeders out there today that DO health test and who tries the slow and hard way to eliminate the health problems that plague the breed today.
I dare say that overall, it is more common that people do test today, and that just wasn't the case in say, the early days of the exported Boerboel.
