I agree Robin. Vader hated my hubby. She was so used to Rayna, she'd bark and run from him. Wanted nothing to do with him at all. (luckily rayna stayed here for a week until i got used to vader too, she wanted nothing to do with me either. That dog bonded soo strong to her.) We decided after she settled in to try the food method. That dog is a chow hound and during feeding time, hubby would go sit in her kennel and ignore her with bucket of food between his legs. He'd hold out his hand and look away from her. She didn't eat for 2 days. The thrid day, she took a bite from his hand and he slowly drew his hand closer to his body until finally she'd eat out of his lap, Then he started o pet her shoulder and within a weeks time She no longer would run from him. She did bite him once after he was feeding her hot dogs. I think his fingers smelled liek them and well.. she chomped on one when he held out his hand.

She enver liked him, but she tolorated him. It was much better than him getting barked at and seeing her not comfortable. She'd play ball with him and allow him to pet her and we lived in pretty good harmony after that. She was awesome dog. Saved her pups from coyotes and helped one of my other females keep the mustang from being stolen! Wonderful dog. I stil have her daughter Faith.

Find a nitch that she likes. Wether it be food, toys ect. Keep her focus on that. Soon she'll realize that people and other dogs are not a threat all the time. Sounds like she just needs some confidence building and socializing.

Rayna can give you some GREAT advice on dog agression and helping her thru that. shoot her an email or give her a call. I'll let her know about this thread and hopefully she can geton and respond with some great input. She'd done miracles with dogs.
