Jordan the point is that they do not like you, so nothing you accomplish is going to get anything but ridicule from many of them. If someone else put an AD on their dog, they would be all over the place ranting how great the person and dog are. But, you do it and you get treated like it was a horrible thing, or pointless at best.

I agree that Jordan has made some big mistakes when he started with his dogs. But, take a look at the atmosphere he was learning from. He is taking steps up and trying to improve.

C'mon guys, Jordan is going to breed the dogs no matter who likes it or who does not. But this shows at least he is trying to put something in his program. There may be a lot of wrong ways, but the right way in these type of breeds is pretty darn fuzzy as well. So, why not be a positive influence rather than full of negativity?

No, the AD does not make his breeding program instantly a good thing. But it at least is a step in the right direction, it shows he is trying to move in a positive way. Going to Schutzhund trials and meeting those people will also hopefully be a positive influence on Jordan. Is Norman the only one out this whole group who is even polite enough to say good job rather than ridicule?

Another food for thought, aren't true "farms" in South Africa much larger than normally here? I know there are some pretty darn big farm properties in the Dakotas and many other states where a dog better be able to handle much more than 12 miles a day if they are going to patrol them. There is a difference between patrolling a property and waiting for the bad guy to come to the back door, wake up the dog on the porch and get bitten. If a dog could patrol your property all day and/or night without walking 12 miles, then it's either a small property or a very lazy dog.
