I haven't seen a post yet that has stated anyone believes that the above should be the case at all. Only posts I've seen state that the Boerboels original job was not that of "cow dog" but of an all around "farm dog" basically what I understand the original purpose of the breed would be that of something more akin to a QH type lifestyle...what Jordan and a few others seem to be saying is that the breed should be more of a marathon dog, more akin to a wirey Arabian style horse...

If you read my response to Sam D it might be more explanatory.
