Just wanted to make sure I'm clear in that BOTH jobs are tough for both rider and horse and don't want to make one less than the other, but they are VERY different jobs requiring different horses etc... If every rancher came up with the plan to use all Arabians for their stock horses they'd be set and likely wouldn't need to drive to many of their "gathering" locations...but, as a horse person yourself, I assume you know that Ranchers tend to look down on those "high strung horses" people use for endurance riding... My friend and I got plenty of guffah's on our trips out with the cowboys on our little Arabs...but I'm proud to say my guy was actually pretty cowy so we showed them of good, he was also Polish in type so he wasn't all that wirey either...high strung, sure but still set down to business quite nicely.

Sara
