The bond it had with its owner was visible within the 20-30 seconds it takes to walk past them on the street. Off leash, sociable dog and yet a natural focused heel. Well semi-focused anyway. That was a pretty cool dog and a sight to see in the midst of dozens of oblivious passersby.

There is no definition of a "Dogman" and there aren't any certifications for being a dogman, woman, person or whatever. There are some dog fighters that are thought of by others as dogmen, while others consider them a little lower on the evolutionary cycle. A person who has a passion for dogs can legitimately make an argument of being a dogman, while that same person might be a nut that gives his dogs grilled filet mignon (I know one such person). So it depends on who you ask and what their definition is.

But if you ever want to relax and watch a real live public theatre while gaining a little more insight on the subject, take some time off and stop by a dog park without your dog. Take a book, a drink and just sit on bench waiting for the show to start. You'll see sadness, drama, comedy and action all rolled into one. Oh, and the occasional dog enthusiast walking by.
