Before the current season premiered they had a half hour documentary of what all goes into the preparation for a shoot. It was about what you would expect, set up cameras and do the dares they will later ask the participants to do. They also shot walkthroughs with psychics and the production team. They had some intersesting stuff. This season they are going to Eastern State Pen. (yikes)as well as the USS Hornet. A lot of the crew that had to work on site for the pre-shoot stuff had the snot scared out of them, not to mention the producer. Especially the guys that had to do the dares, they are actually taunting spirits this season. Challenging them, I'm curious to see what happens. The only ones I've seen so far is the Duggen Cement Factory and one that was shot in a former military academy that I think they changed the name of. I'm not sure I agree with the commercialism of the whole thing, why MTV? Why not TLC? They are doing some things well and others very poorly. Does anyone know who their technical consultant is?
