I understand where you are coming from. I know a lot of people that work in the medical field that claim that they suspect that something "funny" (paranormal) may be going on at their place of business. But, like you, they can't really talk about it with other co-workers.

Unfortunately, I have no information about what was on the grounds prior to the hospital. I personally don't think that gaining that information would make a difference. After all, it is a hospital and many people probably die there every year. So, who's to say that if there is a spirit or two hanging around that it isn't a former patient? Know what I mean?

However, if the history of the hospital is important to you, I'm sure the library and/or historical society would be of some assistance.
