Subject: Ghost Story

My Grandfather died 2 years ago. He died in his bed at home. About 6 months to a year later the family moved my Grandmother out of the house, she was unable to take care of herself. So the house had remained unoccupied until January of this year, when my mom and son moved into the house. Now my mom, and son, and even my daughter have experienced some phenomena. My daughter called me last week and told me the TV in the bedroom that my Grand dad died in came on. She said she went in the room and turned it off, then a little while later she heard the TV on again so she went back in the room and turned off the TV but she said this time it was on another channel. My mom always hears his electric chair going off but this didn't start happening to the chair till she moved it into the bedroom that used to be his. My Grand dad use to always swing in a porch swing, and my mom said that the swing, swings back and forth real big as if someone was swinging in it. My mom has also had the TV come on by it's self when she is the only one home. My Cousin did tell me that when the house was vacant, he was in the back yard cutting some wood when he felt like someone was watching him, when he looked up towards the dining room window he got a glance of my Grand dad standing at the window watching him. Why would my Grand dad wait so long to start maikg his presence known? I've also encontered something strange in my new place also. Just about everynight shortly after I fall asleep I am awakened by the feeling of someone or something shaking me, kind of like when you shake someone on the shoulder to wake them, it really startles me. Then one morning real early I was kind od awake but trying to go back to sleep, when I heard someone behind me say "MOM" "MOM" in a whispering raspy type voice I thought it was my daughter trying to see if I was awake so I yelled out "What!!" and turned around but no one was there. I was almost too afraid to get up and look but I did. I went into my daughter's room but she was still sleeping. I don't like to fall asleep in a quiet room because I start to hear noises so I always fall asleep with the TV on and put the timer on it.
