Hi Wendy. Orbs in photos can be caused by a variety of things other than ghosts, such as dust and pollen. Usually, when I get a photo with several orbs in it, I chalk it up to one or the other. There are really only two ways to be sure that an orb is paranormal. If the orb is moving in the picture, leaving a trail, I'd say it is probably a ghost. Pollen and dust just don't move that fast. Also, if you got a reading on a second piece of equipment (EMF, Infrared thermometer) when the pic was taken, it may be a ghost. Otherwise, there's no way to be sure. Also, nobody knows for sure whether one ghost can appear as several orbs, or only one orb, but I'm sure there are a number of theories. Because of this, it's pretty much impossible to determine how many entities haunt a location simply by the number of orbs in your pictures. Hope this helps.
