I don't know what bible you are reading, but God has revealed Himself and His will in His Word. To come up with something other than what is revealed in that Word is to worship a god of your own making.

I would warn you to be very careful not to fall into idolatry because that's what we do when we try to create God into an image that we find more "likable."
