The Maryland/Delaware United States system is now seeking contestants for its 2007
Teen, Ms. and Mrs. Pageants.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Laurel, MD — The Maryland/Delaware United States pageant system is under new directorship and is seeking contestants. The MD pageant will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2007 at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The DE pageant will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2007 at the Historic Everett Theatre in Middletown, Delaware. All divisions of the pageant will take place on the same evening. The Teen division is open to any young woman between the ages of 16-19 that has never been married and has never had children. The Ms. division is open to women between the ages of 20-29 who are single, divorced or widowed. The Mrs. division is open to any married woman over the age of 21. There is no maximum age for this division. Each married contestant must be living with her husband. Special provisions will be made for military families. In addition to a wide array of prizes, the winners of each division will receive an all expense paid trip to compete in the respective national pageants to compete against women from across the country. The weeklong pageants are held in Las Vegas, Nevada and will take place in late July 2007.

The Maryland United States pageant system is under the new direction pageant veteran, Mrs. Siouxzan Moore. Mrs. Moore has experience as a titleholder and director in the United States, Globe and Mrs. America systems. There are three phases of competition in the preliminary stage of the pageant. A personal panel style interview accounts for 50% of the score, the remaining 50% is evenly divided between the swimsuits and evening gown categories. A group of final delegates will be selected to compete in the on-stage question segment to determine the winner. Special awards will be given to the winners of the Interview, Fitness, Evening Gown, Community Service, Photogenic, People’s Choice, Contestants Choice and Congeniality.
