Subject: EVERYONE MUST READ!! Message From The Coach! SECOND CUT!

This is to update a number of things, as well as new things concerning the cheerleading squad.

The camp is now a PCA camp and it will be held at Holy Cross on August 10 & 11th. The instructor is the Western University Coach (Rated 1st at University Nationals in Canada!!!!!!) and his assistants. This is the only available date they have for this year and it is EXTREMELY important that all girls attend. The cost will remain the same ($140) along with details will be confirmed shortly.

However, to ensure that we are prepared for such an extensive camp we need to get our stunt groups, abilities and general positions worked out. We want to be prepared to work with someone on the level of the Western University Coach!

I have also spoken to Gymnastic Energy concerning bringing in some of the cheerleaders to work on their skills or perhaps to teach non-tumblers how to tumble! They were a wealth of information and know many of the girls on the squad. More info concerning this soon! If your interested, please let me know. This is not mandatory at this time.

All cheerleaders were asked if they wanted to have summer practises and it was unanimously voted on by all cheerleaders. I did not mind giving of my time during the summer vacation period, but some of the cheerleaders have not attended even one practise! We are making Tuesday's practise mandatory. If you are unable to attend please contact me directly, do not leave a message with someone else! If you are not attending I need to speak with you directly!!

As you all know, there will be another cut to the cheerleading team. That date is July 18th. The second cut list will be posted on the website. Please check the site after 5pm on the 18th. All aspects of your PARTICIPATION, ability and team work skills will again all factor into this decision. Regardless of your position, if you do not meet all aspects of the criteria listed, you may be cut. Remember, what you put into cheerleading, you get out of it!! As I offered the previous cheerleaders, if you are cut and have a uniform you would like to sell, please let me know.

I have left a number of messages on answering machines and a few girls have not returned my calls even though I know you are not on holidays or at the gym, or wherever it is you claim to be.

ALL PRACTISES WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE, CLICK ON EVENTS! WE WILL NOT BE CALLING ANYONE ANY LONGER SINCE EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO THE INTERNET.

We will be adding Grade 9's to the team in the weeks to come. They will be asked to attend camp along with the second cut team members.

I will be unavailable for a few days but you can reach me on Sunday evening or Monday if you have any questions.

PLEASE NOTIFY OTHER CHEERLEADERS OF THIS MESSAGE! WE WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS AWARE OF THE SITUATION!
